Systems

We have experience in providing and installing a wide range of systems. Full details of the systems that we can install are provided below, together with the BS standards we adhere to, where relevant.

Protecting both life and property IGPA take this discipline very seriously. So much so we have gained accreditation in all aspects of the BAFE SP203 standard (Third Party accreditation). This includes Supply-Installation-Commission-Verification-Service & Maintenance.

Legislation demands that all works relating to Fire Alarm Systems are undertaken by a competent company that are themselves defined by Third Party accreditation, which is also stated in The Regulatory Reform Order, set out in October 2006.

Our accreditations effectively confirms IGPA’s compliiance with the current legislation detailed above.

As an installation company we can cater for every size and type of application. This can range from Analogue addressable systems or basic Conventional systems.

Analogue addressable systems suit medium to large properties, which can provide economical installations, fire-source pinpointing (at a glance), menu driven user facilities, simple plant and ancillary signaling, remote interrogation and many other facilities. Most importantly we are not tied to any one manufacturer so we can offer an open protocol system of your choice, which gives the end client better flexibility when servicing and maintaining a system and where there is a need to extend or modify any system.

Conventional systems are designed to protect the smaller office/building environment. The conventional systems are more engineered for smaller projects but are as effective as the Analogue addressable systems.

Consultation with our clients enables us to deliver a package that caters for any application.

All to BS5839-1: 2002.

Voice Alarm Systems / Public Address Systems (known as VA/PA systems) sometimes interface and compliment Fire Alarm Systems. IGPA can Design-Supply-Install & Commission Voice Alarm/Public Address Systems which are also deemed as life saving. As with the Fire Alarm Systems every effort is made to ensure that the end product is of the highest standard and that it complies with BS5839-8.

Effectively this confirms that IGPA complies with current legislation VA / PA rack controlled systems normally interfacing to the local fire alarm system.

Central or distributed Voice Alarm systems Wide range of speakers fully integrated with fire detection systems and other systems Public address systems. Public address systems equipment can form part of a public address system, offering additional facilities such as paging, noise masking and background music.

Speech and warning tones may be broadcast to specific groups of people or individuals across single or multi-zone areas.

These systems are usually required in places of public gatherings such as shopping centres, theatres, cinemas and various types of stadiums.

We can offer a full range of extinguishers. Working in partnership with our BAFE accredited extinguishant partner we can offer you a fully compliant high quality service, all to BS 5306.

We have installed a number of emergency lighting systems on various contracts including, Emergilite, Menvier, BLE and Chloride Bardic. These systems include addressable, self-contained, central battery and static inverter systems. These all comply with BS5266 parts 1 -8.

Emergency lighting systems are also a life critical category, and we ensure that all our installations are in compliance with the current standards in order to enable us to provide the correct level of illumination assisting all occupants to evacuate the building safely, in the event of lighting power failure.

Disabled Toilet Alarm systems are essential on commercial properties including both modern and refurbished buildings. We can cater for all applications from stand alone systems to fully integrated networks.

We have installed various types of systems, especially on prestigious projects. These systems are normally found in various multi-storey buildings, which IGPA are qualified to supply, install and commission.

A Disabled Refuge system enables Fire Officers/Building Management to keep in contact throughout an emergency with these areas and is fully BS5839 part 9 and BS5588 compliant.

Fire Telephone systems are fully monitored/battery backed communication networks, which enables fire officers/building management to report the status of any emergency within a building quickly and efficiently to the main central control room. This ensures that the occupants are evacuated with ease and less panic. The whole system is simple to operate, install and works independently to any other emergency fire system within a building.

Crime is a big problem in today’s society. IGPA can contribute to the reduction of crime by offering our services for the supply and installation of CCTV systems. We cater for all applications applying the right package to suite each clients need. This may range from a single static camera system recording on tapes using a time lapse VCR, to a limitless amount of fully functional dome cameras recording onto a digital recorder with remote access, via a P.C (internet), so you can view your system where ever you are in the world (providing you have access to the internet).

We can supply and install competitively priced digital recording systems, which will take all the hassle out of CCTV, such as having to change tapes and trawling through hours of footage to find the relevant event.

Aspirating system’s offer extraordinarily high levels of sensitivity and have the capability of detecting microscopic particles of fire at the pre-combustion stage, long before visible evidence of smoke or flame.

We can supply, install and commission most types of aspirating systems and have achieved this in varied types of environments such as the following:

  • Computer suites
  • Telecommunications centres
  • Internet Service Providers
  • Control Rooms
  • Specialist Food Processing areas
  • Archive storage
  • Heritage buildings
  • Atria High rack storage warehousing

Although more difficult to install, our engineers have the knowledge and experience to ensure that the end product is of a very high standard of installation. This type of detection system has the advantage of being utilised in harsh environments or where there is a need for extra sensitivity, such as computer suites. The above is an example of one of our recent Installations within an Industrial environment.

We have successfully supplied and installed various Access and Door entry control systems. These systems are an effective way of managing access into and around buildings. The various systems can comprise of the following:

  1. KEYPAD ENTRANCE/EXIT – A contemporary solution based on client requirements.

  2. STAND ALONE CARD ACCESS – Single proximity card readers are more efficient in today’s environment. Each reader is programmed individually.

  3. PC BASED ACCESS CONTROL – For any number of doors. All controlled by a PC. This system can incorporate biometric in the form of fingerprint readers, or retina readers and will also function as a time and attendance package including the production of photo ID cards.

  4. NETWORKED SYSTEMS – Linked either to a P.C as above or alternatively to a Fire Alarm system, thus allowing sufficient egress in the event of a fire, complying with Health & Safety.

Access control is required internally but what is needed to secure businesses from outside influences? That is where Audio and Video entry systems are required. Our experience makes sure that with consultation the right system is provided with both technical and budgetary elements considered.

The benefits of a video entry system will allow the user to visually verify any visitors and all of the systems are compatible with card or keypad access, automatic gates and barriers. We can install video systems linked to a digital recorder.
