Chubb Fire required a company with the expertise to not only install Aspirating Systems but to install them in difficult environments. The Recall Centre in Hoddesdon is a storage facility that stores sensitive and important information on racking systems that measure over 25m in height. As the information is sensitive and without wanting a fire to start or even spread throughout there is a requirement for the racks installed to be assigned a smoke detection system that will provide instantaneous activation of the fire alarm system. The quicker the fire alarm reacts the better chance that there will be a minimum information/capital loss in a worst case fire scenario. Therefore the best solution is to fit the racks with an aspirating system and in effect a series of pipes that span the length of said racks.A combination of our Installation expertise and Health and Safety Operational capacity allowed us to assign our specialist teams to install said systems and in the process utilising access equipment with a reach of 25m height.
